Details:
I finally caved and got an Intel 160GB G2 SSD for my laptop. Photoshop opens within 4-5 seconds (I don't actually USE Photoshop, but I installed it just to see how fast it was.) Outlook opens within 1s. Virtually everything else opens instantly. Makes my computer a pleasure to use again.
